College of Veterinary Medicine

The Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) is composed of the only veterinary medical program located at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) campus in the USA. The primary mission of the TUCVM is to provide an environment that nurtures and promotes a spirit of active, independent and self-directed learning, teaching, research and service in veterinary medicine and related disciplines.


Accreditation Status

The Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine is accredited by the AVMA Council on Education.

The college is also unique in that we promote and operate within the framework of the One Health/One Medicine approach. The TUCVM works with the Tuskegee University School of Nursing and Allied Health to strengthen research and academic programs that interlinks animal health and human health.
