Tuskegee College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health Gets New
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

Tuskegee, AL--Dr. Tsegaye Habtemariam, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health (CVMNAH), recently appointedDr. Ruby  Dr. Ruby Perry as the new Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Veterinary Medicine. She is an alumnus of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine (TUSVM) Class of 1977. Dr. Perry also previously served on the Executive Council and as Past-President of the Tuskegee Veterinary Medical Alumni Association (TVMAA).
She joins Tuskegee University from Michigan State University where she was a tenured associate professor of veterinary radiology for over 17 years. Dr. Perry completed a Radiology Residency and received the Master of Science degree from Michigan State University (MSU). She is a board-certified radiologist and is actively involved in the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR).
Dr. Perry previously served as an assistant professor of veterinary radiology from 1982-1988 here at TUSVM. Also during this time, she served as Acting Chairperson of the Department of Small Animal Medicine, Surgery and Radiology. In 1988, she returned to MSU where she served as Section Chief of Diagnostic Imaging for six years. During her tenure at MSU, she served on numerous committees, gave scientific presentations both nationally and internationally, and was actively engaged in research and producing manuscripts for scientific publications.
As Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Perry will work with respective Department Heads and other Associate Deans to guide the school to achieve academic and clinical service excellence. She will also partner with the Associate Dean for Student Affairs to ensure student focused teaching/learning outcomes.
