Faculty Position: Veterinary Microbiologist

Tuskegee University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Pathobiology. Candidates should have earned DVM and PhD degrees (Microbiology) or the equivalent or the PhD degree in Microbiology with specialty training in Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology. Applicants should have experience in Diagnostic Microbiology and an interest in teaching Bacteriology and Mycology in the veterinary curriculum. Preference will be given to diplomates in the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists. Duties will include participation in team-taught courses in bacteriology/mycology and related disciplines for veterinary and graduate students, rotations in the clinical microbiology laboratory, and providing diagnostic support to the veterinary teaching hospital. The individual will be expected to develop a strong, independent or collaborative research program.
