Tuskegees veterinarians design herd health programs for goats, sheep, swine, dairy cows, and beef cattle.
* Comprehensive programs include:
* Routine and emergency ambulatory farm calls
* Herd health inspection and health maintenance
* Breeding soundness examinations
* On-the-farm nutritional assessments, including pasture management
* Economic and financial assessment of farm management practices
* Educational forums through the Alabama Cattlemens Organizations and Co- operative Extension Programs

Horses

Tuskegee University strives to prevent disease and common health problems in horses through comprehensive vaccination programs and services that include:
* Lameness evaluations
* Dentistry
* Reproductive management, breeding consultation, pregnancy examination, perantal care, and artificial insemination
* Medical and surgical care of complex cases from orthopedics to colics

Companion Animals

Tuskegee Universitys small animal practice tailors programs to each pets needs. With an emphasis on preventive medicine, wellness programs are designed specifically for each patient’s age and condition. Services include:

* Puppy and kitten programs
* Nutritional counseling
* Animal health and disease assessments
* Vaccination programs
* Dental care
* Geriatric health screenings
* Annual and semi-annual wellness exam
* Animal behavior consultaions
